OUR COMMITMENT TO ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE.
We are committed to academic excellence and particularly to the whole, well-rounded development of each child at our school. This principle is central to the Montessori values we embrace.
The main language of instruction at our school is English. Students in our primary section (Standard I through Standard III) take a variety of classes in their schedules. Our curriculum includes the following subjects:
- Swahili
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- History
- Geography
- Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
- Personal Development Skills
- Vocational Skills
- Physical Education
Students attend classes Monday through Friday. Our school day starts at 8:00 am, and each class period is 40 minutes long. A typical schedule for a student in the primary school might include two periods of Swahili, then two periods of mathematics, then a break, then one period of history and one period of ICT, then an hour break for lunch, and finally one or two periods of English. Physical Education class is held on Fridays.
A breakfast snack at 10:40 am and lunch at 1:00 pm are provided by our school's food staff.
Each grade level's schedule is planned by our academic director and teachers to meet the standards of Tanzania's Ministry of Education. Exams and tests are given periodically to assess students' learning.
