a brief history of mkombozi montessori.
Mkombozi Montessori was established in 2008 in Chamazi, a rapidly growing outskirt of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. It was originally constructed by the congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer in Tanzania, a missionary group seeking to provide better educational access to young children across the country. For over six years, Mkombozi Montessori has been providing quality primary education under the guidance of international Montessori principles. Our curriculum is also accredited by and meets the standards of the Tanzanian Ministry of Education.
Today the school encompasses over 200 students in three levels of kindergarten as well as Standards I through III. Each year our institution has been expanding in order to accommodate more and more students who join our program. Explore our academic curriculum.
Our school is non-denominational and students, parents, and families of all faiths are welcomed. However, we continue to operate thanks to the generous support of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer, as well as various non-profit partner organizations. If you're interested in supporting us, please consider donating or volunteering.
